Paranoid Mommy....

Well, I couldn't help it....Mia had a rash and I had to take her in. Even though everyone said it was a heat rash, I couldn't be sure. And yes, it was just a heat rash. LOL. However, in my defense, I was a bit skeptical because we were with my Grandma a few days prior and we found out that she had Shingles. So even Dr. Dan said it wasn't a bad idea to have her checked out...so there!!

We did get another weight check though and she is 19 pounds! WOW. All is well, she is getting bigger and cuter by the day. She is sitting up all by herself now which is so nice. We are working on holding her own bottle but its not working out well right now. Above are a couple of pics Janet took for her 7 month birthday. There will be more to come once Janet posts them.

We received great news.... Mia will be getting a new cousin! Congratulations to Aunt Betsy and Uncle Steve!!!

6 month check up & First Tooth

We went to see Dr. Dan for Mia's 6 month check up (she was actually 6 1/2 months) and all is well! Mia now weighs 18 pounds, 11 ounces and is 28 1/2 inches long! Still off the charts on her height. She really is just sooo long. Gran and Pawpaw went along to the appointment. Dr Dan gave Mia her shots (which she was not happy about) but he ran and got his guitar and played 2 songs for her which calmed her right down. lol. Pawpaw felt so bad for her, we all went shopping and of course, he bought her a ton of stuff including her new little Puma's which are too cute. Lots of summer outfits, I can't wait to see her in them.

On another note, we were over at Uncle Jeff's and Aunt Megan's last night and I noticed that Mia's first tooth has popped through the skin! Its her bottom right. She is getting so old, so fast! She is also pretty much sitting up all by herself. We still have to be there incase, but she does really well.

Last weekend, Cousins Gina and Austin came and stayed the night with Mia. They all had a great time. Austin and Abel hung out all night while Gina entertained Mia. Once Mia went to bed, Gina and I watched Mary Poppins. I got in trouble for falling asleep :) I have some pics from that night, I will post once I download from the camera.
