Getting so big...

Mia is getting SO fun! She is really focusing on faces now and tries to mock what you do. Mia is smiling alot now and it just makes you melt. We took her to see Santa at Easton last week and she did great! I can't wait til next year, it is going to be so exciting.

She is doing really good with everything including getting on a better sleep schedule. She has bad nights here and there but sleeps through the night for the most part. Gran and Pawpaw Hamer have already went Christmas shopping and it sounds as if she is set with clothes for a while :)

I am still adjusting to coming back to work, I miss her so much during the day. I frequently go online to see her pictures (sometimes that just makes it worse, I think!).

Update

Its amazing how easy it was to update this blog before Mia was here. I have NO time to even think about it now but I really want to keep it up. Things are getting alot easier now though. Mia is now sleeping through most nights. She averages 6-8 hours, sometimes getting up once in between for a feeding. She is starting to smile now which is so awesome. Mom and dad taught her to do "raspberries" with her lips, its so funny. She went for her 2 month appt last week to get her shots :( She screamed her little head off but was fine after a couple of minutes and a lot of comforting from mommy. She weighed in at 11 pounds and 13.5 ounces and measured 23 and 1/4 inches long. She is getting so big, so fast!! I already have a pile of clothes she has grown out of.

I am back to work now and I miss her so much each day. Its so hard to leave her in the mornings but I know she is in good hands with my Mom, Erin, Abels mom and Cheli. Having all family to watch her is so awesome. It saves me alot of worry and alot of money too! haha.

I know one thing.... her Grandpa's are going to spoil her rotten, you should see how they both are with her and she absolutly loves both of them...she just smiles and coo's at both of them.

Mia Magdalena Ferrer is here!!!

It has taken me forever to enter this in but she is finally here!! Mia was born on September 27th at 8:29 am weighing 8 pounds and 5 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches long. Everything went really well and we are both doing great. Mia will be 4 weeks old tomorrow, I can't believe how fast my time at home with her is going by. Things are going really well other than my lack of sleep which I hope improves soon! I can't imagine not having her around now.

Just 3 more days....

Just 3 more days until Baby Ferrer will finally be here. I am so nervous yet so excited. This will be the last post until after we are home. Surgery is scheduled for 7:30 am on Thursday, I have to be there at 5:30 am. Sounds like there will be a lot of people coming and going. Its been a long time coming :) Wish me luck!

36 Week appointment....WHOA!

Ok, so alot has happened. Abel and I met at the doctors office yesterday for the ultrasound and check up with Dr. B. The ultrasound was good, everything looked great....other than the baby is still breech. They are estimating the baby to weigh 6 pounds and 10 ounces. The baby turned away from the camera again and was facing my back, head still under my ribs. We AGAIN could not get a good picture. The ultrasound tech did show us all of the hair again and showed the heartrate at a healthy 138. So....at this point all is well and we head back to the waiting room. As we sit and wait, I tell Abel he can go ahead and go because Dr. B was just going to do an internal exam and should be quick and I will be headed back to work...no big deal. WRONG. I go back, and he does the internal. I of course am not dialated or effaced at all. He then goes on to talk about options for a breech baby. Because of my placenta being in front, I refused to try and turn the baby since he explained there is risk of tearing the placenta away. He then goes on to suggest a scheduled csection. I am thinking in my head at this point that I have a couple of weeks to wait and decide.....until he says "It would be best to make this decision TODAY". I couldn't believe it....next thing I know, I am in the nurses office and she is calling the hospital to schedule the c-section in 2 weeks!! I am now scheduled to have the csection on September 27th at 7:30 am. I was a tad overwhelmed. They handed me a diaper bag full of stuff, paperwork for the hospital and even prescriptions for when I come home. All of this time, I am thinking, I can't believe I sent Abel out of here. So, when I finally got out of there, I called Abel with the news. I think he is a bit relieved as he was nervous about labor. lol. So.....to wrap it up, I am having a baby in 2 weeks exactly! :) At least I don't have to worry about Dr. B not being there now. lol.

What is going on - 36 weeks.

Looking forward to my ultrasound and check up on wednesday but this is what is "supposed to happen" this week: (and no, I still haven't dropped)

Week Thirty Six: Baby may drop into the birth canal

You are 36 weeks pregnant. (fetal age 34 weeks)
The baby is about 19 inches (48 cm) long.
Weight is around 6 pounds (2.7 kg).
The baby's body is becoming chubby as fat layers build.
Between now and birth they may gain about an ounce (30g) a day
You may feel contractions of the womb, called Braxton Hicks contractions. While it says that your baby weighs six and a half pounds this week and measures 19 inches long, this is only an estimate. In general, babies are gaining half a pound per week now. Baby continues gaining weight as fat deposits and is forming creases in the neck and wrists. You may feel contractions of the womb, called Braxton Hicks contractions, which can be used to perform and practice breathing exercises. You may be visiting your caregiver weekly up until the birth. Regular internal exams may begin, to see if your cervix has softened, thinned, dilated or if your baby's head is dropping into the pelvis. Any of these could be signs of impending labor but there are no guarantees and you could be waiting for weeks yet. Your baby is almost ready, a pair of kidneys and the liver has begun processing some waste products, the only organ still to mature is the lungs. This week your baby may drop into the birth canal, this is called 'lightening' or 'dropping'. If this is not your first baby, this 'lightening' may not occur until right before labor. Your care provider may refer to it by saying that your baby is now 'engaged'. The majority of babies are now in the birth position, either head down (vertex) or butt down (breech), most will maintain this position until birth. Any movements that they make are more likely to be rolls from side to side. You may notice when this happens because it will suddenly become much easier for you to breathe. While breathing becomes easier, walking may be the exact opposite. If your baby has dropped you may find yourself visiting the bathroom much more often as baby is resting right on top of your bladder again. The average twin birth occurs between 36 and 37 weeks and the babies weigh an average of 5 pounds apiece. A baby's average size is now 18.5 inches (47 cm) and 6 pounds (2700 g).

34 weeks

I went to my appointment on Tuesday and everything went well. I gained another 8 pounds!! Hard to believe I only gained 5 pounds in 8 months and then 8 pounds in 2 weeks. Dr B said it was probably alot of water retention but that an overall gain of 13 pounds is still great. We heard the heartbeat and it sounded great. He scheduled me back for 2 weeks (9/12) for an ultrasound and the start of the internal exams and appointments will be every week after that.
I am definatly getting ALOT bigger, I can hardly even wear some of my maternity shirts because of my belly. Movement has slowed down alot, which I hate. I get so worried when I don't feel movement. Today, I was in a panic because it had been a while. I even ate Taco Bell to try to provoke it, lol. Finally this afternoon, the baby had hiccups. Such a relief. This kid already has me worrying like a mom :)

33 weeks...

...and counting! I went to my doctor appointment on Friday and all is well. I lost 3 pounds, which I thought would be a concern but wasn't. Dr. B said that the baby is taking in the weight and that is fine. Especially since I haven't really gained much to begin with. So, I am at an overall weight gain of just 5 pounds! So hard to believe when I feel like a whale.
I heard the heartbeat again, that has to be the best sound in the world, Dr. B said it sounded "perfect". We talked about birth weight and location of the baby and what the risk for a csection would be. He said he was going to take the baby by csection if it is bigger than 9 1/2 pounds or if he/she hasn't turned (as of now, the baby's head is still comfortable laying against my right ribs). I don't care how it happens, as long as we are both healthy and happy. I have complete faith in Dr. B :)
It is really starting to get uncomfortable now. I am having a hard time sitting for long periods of time, especially at work. I have a pillow behind me to help my back but sometimes its just not enough. Driving in the car gets to me sometimes too. Sleeping is still an issue, up a million times and its very difficult to get comfortable again or to turn over (again, a time when you literally feel like a whale!). Other than that, things are really good.
The nursery is coming along. We aren't "decorating" the room until the baby is here and we know the sex. We have the crib put together and mattress/sheet on it ready to go. The dresser has made it to the room, I just have to get Abel to put it together now. All of the clothes/blankets etc are washed and hung up in the closet or folded and in a basket waiting on the dresser. The closet smells so good, I can't wait until I smell that smell on the baby everyday. Mom and Dad bought us the stroller/car seat this past weekend, so we are all ready to go. We really only have a few things left to get (swing/video monitor/shelf or bookcase). Everything is all ready and waiting. Next appointment is the 31st and he said we would schedule a final ultrasound for a week-2 weeks after that. I will be VERY close at that point. I can't believe I am going to be a Mom .... in a month!

31 weeks....

Sunday was the big day, the Baby Shower! It was so nice. There were tons of people and I received alot of great stuff. I am still overwhelmed by the amount of gifts. Everything is upstairs and scattered everywhere. Tonight will be phase one of organizing. Janet was there taking pictures, so I will post a few as soon as I get them. Thank you Mom, Jaime, Erin and Stacy for making it such a special time for me!
Its so hard to believe I am 31 weeks now. Time is getting near and I can not wait. Abel is getting pretty anxious too, he talks about "when the baby gets here" all of the time. I am starting to get more and more anxious about the gender, wanting to know what he/she actually is. Its funny how certain people have such strong feelings on what it is. My Dad is convinced its a girl, while I believe its a boy. But who knows?! Abel's aunt is so confident that its a boy that she bought me all blue! She says she's never wrong....I guess we'll see. Whichever it is, I hope he/she looks good in green and yellow because I have a TON of it now :)

30 weeks.....

I had another ultrasound and appointment on Friday, it went really well. My Mom went with me and got to see the baby. The baby weighs approx. 3 lbs and 10 oz and is still camera shy. He/she was facing my back and did not want to show anything. The u/s tech did point out that the baby has alot of hair and "meaty" legs! I am so excited to see what my baby looks like. The face picture she did finally get looks like the Godfather, cheeks big and hanging down low!! LOL After the u/s, I met with Dr. B and everything was very positive. He said that everything looks great and that he is pleased with how everything is going. I gained 2 more pounds which puts me at an overall gain of 8 pounds! He said that was great. He couldn't even find any stretch marks :) He wasn't concerned with my sugar level at all, said the diet was probably overkill but precautionary. I will have my next appt in 3 weeks and another ultrasound 2 weeks after that. I will be 35 weeks at that point, I can't believe it!
Another thing I can't believe is that my shower is this Sunday! We are expecting around 50 people, I am really excited for that. I honestly never thought this day was really going to come. Janet is now my "personal photographer" so I will have plenty of pictures from the shower, I will post a few when I get them.

Update/Week 28

I went to see the dietician yesterday. She basically told me I didn't have much to worry about, my levels were not that high at all. I have a new diet plan that I have to follow everyday that will help maintain my levels and decrease risk for later in life or in another pregnancy. Its not too bad, its alot of measuring and counting carbs and eating every 2-3 hours.
Everything is going well at this point, still anxious for the 27th to come so I can see him/her again. I felt ALOT of movement last night, even saw my stomach moving up and down, so weird!! Here is what is going on during week 28:

You are 28 weeks pregnant. (fetal age 26 weeks)
The fetus has its own regular intervals for sleeping and being awake.
The weight has increased to 1000 grams and is 37.5cm in length.
2.2 pounds weight and is 14.8 inches in length from head to heel.
The feet are just over 2 inches (5.5cm) long.
The hair on the head is now clearly visible.
The milk teeth have developed under the gums.

The eyes are starting to move in their sockets.Brain waves show rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, which means your baby may be dreaming. Eyelids are opening. Eye color may change within the first six months of life especially if your baby's eyes are blue or gray-blue at birth. Remember to talk to your baby often; reading stories, singing songs has been seen to slow the baby's heart rate. He or she can recognize your voice now and will often calm to it later after birth. Your uterus will be about 3 inches (7cm) above your bellybutton. During this time of your pregnancy, your belly will grow about half an inch (1cm) each week. If you have been following a nutritious, balanced meal plan, your total weight gain is probably between 17 and 24 pounds (7.5 and 10.5 Kg). Branches of lungs are quite developed now, so there is a good chance that baby would survive if born prematurely now. If your baby is born this week, the chances of survival is now at least 90 percent. However, some complications are still possible.

3rd Trimester is here!

Third trimester is here!
The nurse finally called me with the results of the 3 hour glucose test. She said that 3 out of 4 blood draws came back good but one of them (the 2 hour one after drinking the glucose) was a little high. So, I have to see a dietician on Monday and change my diet. I'm sure it will be carb and sugar counting. I am totally fine with that, just so happy I don't have to test my blood or take any meds.
I went to Janets the other night and she took some maternity photos of me, I will post a couple on here soon. It will be nice to have those as memories. I can't believe I started my 3rd trimester this week!! I am so excited for my ultrasound on the 27th, to see this baby moving and to see how much he/she has grown!! Mom is going with me this time, she promised not to ask any question about gender :) He/She is moving around alot more than before which I love, as it reminds me that he/she is doing well.
Great news---Jeff and Megan are having a girl!! I am so excited for them and to meet "Gabriella".

Test...Failed :(

Jennifer from Dr. B's called, I failed my glucose test by a few points. So, now for the next 3 days, I have to eat a high carb/high sugar diet and then go back and take the 3 hour test on Friday morning. Not looking forward to this!! I had read and been told that many women fail the 1 hour but pass the 3 hour, so lets hope this is my case as well.

26 Weeks!

Friday was my glucose test and appointment with Dr. B. The drink was not nearly as bad as everyone made it out to be. I will get results from that tomorrow or Thursday. I have gained a total of 6 pounds.....sure does feel like 60! Dr. B says I am measuring a little big and wants to do another ultrasound on the 27th with my next appointment. I am hoping all is well, just a big baby :) Abel made me promise I wouldn't find out the sex during the ultrasound.
Jaime and I went to Babies R Us last week and I am all registered!!! That was alot of fun but I am so glad she went with me. The first isle was bottles and binkys...there are 5000 different kinds and I had NO CLUE where to begin. She was so informative and helpful, I don't know what I would have done without her (Thanks Jaime! xoxo). It took us 3 hours to do it but I think I have everything I "need" on there.

24 Weeks

So we had a little scare last week. To make a long story short, I called the doctor last Friday night with some worrysome symptoms and I was sent to Labor and Delivery to get checked out. Luckily, everything was fine and they said that all looked well. I was a nervous wreck as most of you could imagine.
This past weekend was kind of exciting as I felt the first real "kick". We were at a wedding and as soon as the dancing music started, the baby was going nuts! It was so awesome. I don't know if he/she loved it or hated it! Abel was able to see it a little at home as well. I sat a plastic container on my belly and when it kicked, Abel was able to see it shake a bit. He seemed pretty excited about seeing it for the first time.
Things are still going well, getting bigger and bigger everyday. Its really hard to believe I am only 3 weeks away from my 3rd trimester. Looking forward to my next appt which is not until the 29th. I am dreading the glucose drink but I am always anxious for reassurance that everything is going well and looks good. And, also to hear the heartbeat again :) I bought a monitor for home from Target but haven't been able to hear it on there yet. I have heard that they are not very good and people don't have much luck with them.....which is good that I know or else I am sure I would have freaked out not being able to find it! lol

Whats happening during WEEK 23...

Week Twenty Three: Sense of balance develops

You are 23 weeks pregnant. (fetal age 21 weeks)
He or she measures over 28cm and weighs up to 550 grams.
The baby is over 11 inches tall, weighs about a pound.
The eyebrows are visible.
The child can successfully suck.
Bones located in the middle ear harden.Your baby does a regular 'workout' inside your womb. He or she turns from side to side and head over heels. Thanks to a fully developed inner ear, which controls balance, your baby may have a sense of whether he or she is upside-down or right side up in the womb. Skin pigment is now forming. The fetus is now proportioned like a newborn except it is a thinner version of a newborn baby since its baby fat has not developed much yet. The pancreas, essential in the production of hormones, is developing steadily. Baby has begun producing insulin, important for the breakdown of sugars. If born now, your baby would have a 20% chance of survival, the odds going up with each passing day. By this week, your baby weighs a little over 1 pound (500g). Its crown to heel length is 11 inches (28cm).

21 Week Ultrasound...

Many of you are wondering......... and I have no gender news for you as my stubborn little bean would not open his/her legs to tell us! The ultrasound tech tried and tried but it was not budging. So, we have decided to wait and be surprised at the birth since that is what Abel wanted in the first place and obviously the baby doesn't want us to know yet either :)
Good news, the baby looks great and is growing wonderfully. The u/s tech said that he or she is above average on weight, weighing in at over 1 pound already (average is about 12 ounces). So, looks like we will be monitoring the growth closely to make sure I am not trying to deliver a 10 pound baby like its Daddy. I was looking forward to finding out the sex but was not disappointed at all. I was so relieved to hear the baby was doing well that the gender didn't matter much anymore. It was amazing to see him/her on the screen.....much more that I ever thought it would be. Abel was absolutly amazed at what he saw. I gained 3 pounds which brings me back up to my original weight, so I am even now :) I've been feeling pretty good, just a little uncomfortable sleeping already. Oh....and another important thing....there was only one baby for all of you convinced I was having twins! Next appointment is June 29th, where I must drink the yucky glucose drink.

Tuesday, May 22, 2007

1/2 way there!!!

So, I am officially 1/2 way through this pregnancy. It's actually hard to believe. Just this morning after my shower, I noticed my belly looking even bigger! I am so excited for the ultrasound on June 1st. I am a bit nervous too as I just want everything to look perfect. I still haven't felt the baby move. I have thought I felt some flutters but I am not convinced it was really the baby. I've read that some women don't feel anything until up to 22 weeks but most have felt it by now I think. So, of couse it concerns me a bit but I am trying not to worry about it much. Hopefully I will see him/her moving all around on the ultrasound. Everyone keeps telling me I look like I am having twins.....so, I hope to just see one big baby floating around :)

Doing well....

Things are going well, I just can't believe I am almost half way done! I've been feeling pretty good with the exception of some bad headaches. As you can see from the picture posted, I am growing like crazy. I have learned an important rule....NO laying flat on my back. I was at the chiropractor last week on the rolling massage table just relaxing when all of the sudden I got really hot and felt funny. I sat up and felt sick so I made way to the restroom. Well, I barely made it there when everything starting to blackout. I sat daown on the floor for a minute then got up and splashed water on my face and started to feel better. Needless to say, I called Lisa at Dr. B's to find out what in the world was wrong with me. She said it was from laying on the massage bed on my back. The baby is big enough now to where it cuts off circulation in my back and it made my blood pressure drop. Just from a massage bed for 5 minutes!! I was freaked out of course but I just now know the importance of staying off my back. I have been only sleeping on my left side which is getting pretty irritating I must say. But, its all worth it!! Abel and I are counting down the days to June 1st so we can see the "bean" and know if its going to be our baby girl or baby boy. I had a dream last night it was a boy, but that doesn't mean much I don't think. I have been convinced for some time now that its a girl. Many people tell me they think girl too, including my Dad who says he "guarantees" its a girl. LOL. I guess we will see in 2 weeks!!! Mom just informed me that her pool is now open.......that means I gotta find a maternity bathing suit, UGH.

19 Weeks- getting BIG!

This is at Mom's house on my first Mothers Day!

Whats happening during week 18...

Week Eighteen: Baby begins to hear

You are 18 weeks pregnant. (fetal age 16 weeks)
The fetus is now 6 inches long and weighs 7 ounces.
The fetus measures about 15cm and weighs almost 200 grams.
They can hear sounds and may be startled by loud noises.
Recognizable active and rest periods.
The skin is building a protective wax layer (vernix).Vernix (a white cheese like protective material) forms on baby's skin with the lanugo, a soft lightly pigmented hair covering the body and limbs, both help to protect your baby's skin during the months in water. Your baby may hear your heart beating, your stomach rumbling or blood moving through the umbilical cord. He or she may even be startled by loud noises.Tiny air sacs called alveoli begin to form in lungs and the vocal chords are formed. Baby goes through the motions of crying but without air doesn't make a sound; yet. Your baby may have the same awake and sleep patterns of a newborn. Baby will have a favorite position for sleep and recognizable active and rest periods.Your baby measures about 6 inches (15cm) crown to rump and weighs about 7 ounces (200gm).

17 Weeks

Yesterday was my monthly appointment with Dr. B. Everything went really well. I have only gained one pound which is SO hard to believe since I feel like I am huge. So, I am still down 3 pounds from my original weight. Dr. B says he is totally fine with that and that he is sure I will start gaining within the next month. That sounds about right seeing as how I am starting to eat everything in sight! He says I should ideally gain about 15-25 pounds but won't complain unless I start to gain too fast and gain more than 40 pounds. I heard the heartbeat again and it was loud and strong which was so nice to hear. He said it sounded "perfect". I also had blood drawn to check for various things. Overall he said everything looks great and is happy with how everything is progressing. We scheduled the big ultrasound for June 1st!!! I can't wait!!

Friday, April 27, 2007

16 Weeks

Not much to report this week, feeling good and getting big! I think I can feel my uterus now and am having all kinds of little twinges and "growing pains". Those are the pains I welcome though :)
Next week is my next appointment with Doctor B. Looking forward to hearing the heartbeat again and to scheduling the ultrasound....can't wait! Its hard to believe that in just 3 1/2 more weeks I will be 1/2 way through my pregnancy already. Abel is getting more and more excited everyday. He is so anxious for the arrival already, I told him he has a ways to go! haha.

Thinking about the nursery....

I know it's early but I can't help it. My Mom found the PERFECT nursery design IF its a girl. Check it out!
If it's a boy, we will have to keep looking :)

15 Weeks

15 weeks and feeling pretty good. Luckily, the nausea is pretty much gone except for when I brush my teeth or smell something really bad. However, the headaches are in full force. Tylenol isn't the best but the extra strength is helping alot more and the doctor said it's fine in moderation. I am doing alot better as far as diet goes.....I am eating full meals now and trying to snack on fruits and veggies. I am still having the late night pizza cravings out of nowhere so I stocked up on personal sized frozens just incase, so Abel doesn't have to go to the store at 3am, which I almost made him do last weekend :)
Not much else to report-- Sheyla had her baby boy last week, Christopher Martin Sarabia and he is so cute! I got a full report on labor (this was her first as well) and how difficult the first week is. But, she is doing well now and the baby is great.

Friday, April 13, 2007

Let the cravings begin!

OK, it's week 14 and I had my first middle of the night craving. I woke up at 1:30 craving grape juice and Pizza!! :) I got the grape juice but decided against ordering a pizza that late. So, I had to make a mad dash to get a sausage biscuit before work because I was STARVING. Big change from getting sick and not wanting anything at all to eat. The only other craving I've had was also yesterday after work...I wanted cantelope with salt SO bad. Odd thing is, I HATE cantelope, lol. I have no idea where that came from.
Things are going really well now, just getting bigger and bigger....and looking forward to the ultrasound so we can start the nursery.

What is going on with Baby - week 14

Your baby's body systems are starting to work on their own. The digestive system practices moving food along the intestines and through the renal system and he can create and eliminate urine. He also continues to practice breathing the amniotic fluid in and out of his lungs. Your baby has tiny, soft nails on his fingers and toes, is growing hair and may even suck his thumb. Your baby is approximately 10-11.5 cm (3 ½ -4 inches) and weighs approximately 1.5 ounces.
Also, your baby's blood is beginning to form in the bone marrow and blood vessels are beginning to connect various parts of the fetus to another. The joints and muscles allow your baby full body movement so your baby is able to move around. The baby's neck is getting longer and his chin is no longer resting on his chest. The eyes and ears continue to move into place. The hands are becoming functional and reflex movements often occur. Nourishment now comes from the placenta. Remember, some of what you eat and drink is getting through to your baby. The doctor can tell if your baby is a boy or a girl using special tests.
Amniotic fluid is an amazing substance. It completely regenerates itself every three hours. We do know that it is partially composed of urine from the baby, but where amniotic fluid in general is made we are not sure. Modern medicine still has some surprises left.

13 Weeks!

So I am officially in my second trimester! The doctor appointment went really well yesterday. Dr. B said everything looks great and I am out of the worry zone now :) Abel went with me and we got to hear the heartbeat. I was so nervous because Dr. B said that it might be too early to hear anything, I just knew if I didn't hear it, I would be a worried mess about it. But, after playing around with the doppler for a bit, he found it! It was awesome!!! It wasn't real loud, it was pretty faint but he said that was because its still early. That was all I needed, it was a huge relief to hear it. That appointment has made me feel alot better, confident now that all is well. The bad news is, he is not going to do another ultrasound until "at least 22 weeks". He said that we could always go and do a 3D one, but he wouldn't do it before 22 weeks anyway just to be sure we will find our answer. So, I think we will just wait and do it with him.
I lost another pound, which he says is normal for all of the nausea I had. I just can't figure it out though, I have lost a total of 4 pounds now, yet NONE of my pants fit! He just laughed when I told him that. I guess I must have lost it someplace else and gained it in my belly, lol. Next appointment is the first week of May, just a normal check up and will take bloodwork at that time to test the baby for various things. I can now say that I am ready to sit back, relax and enjoy this pregnancy :)
*Megan and Jeff had their ultrasound yesterday as well and everything looked great. They got to see the heartbeat which they were excited about. Her official due date is November 17th.....so, the babies are "scheduled" to be 39 days apart!

12 Weeks

Well, I was going to wait until after tomorrow's doctor appointment to post but they just called and rescheduled for next Wednesday. :( I was so excited, so this was a big let down. Maybe I can guilt him into doing the ultrasound sooner since he rescheduled this appointment on me!
I have been feeling alot better. Still have waves of nausea and some headaches but most days are good ones. Went shopping over the weekend and got a few Maternity items at Motherhood in Jeffersonville. Mom bought me a really cute outfit :)
We now have several friends/family pregnant along with us. Sheyla/Martin, Lisa/Mike, Kristin/Jimmy, Amanda/Osirus, and of course Megan/Jeff. This child will have a lot of friends close to his/her age which is so awesome. Megan is 7 weeks now, so she is less than 6 weeks behind me and she is doing great. Our kids are going to be more like siblings than cousins!

11 Weeks

Ok, so I am officially 11 weeks and getting very excited to say goodbye to my first trimester. I am still getting nauseous on some days but it is getting better. Hopefully I can say goodbye to that along with the first trimester :)
I am having a hard time with clothes right now since it is the "in between" stage. I can wear some maternity shirts but most are still too big. The pants are the worst. My normal pants about kill me but I am no where near ready for maternity pants. I wish I could just wear sweats everyday!
People told me that I would start to become more relaxed and not care about alot of things anymore, I didn't believe them.....until now! I look around what is normally a very clean house, and can't believe my eyes. As I am typing this now..... I think about a sink full of dirty dishes, even dirty ones on the counter because the sink is full, piles of laundry that needs done, piles that are already done but need put away, and 500 other things that I should be doing but don't have the energy to do! I just never thought I could do it, but I guess pregnancy really DOES do strange things to you!
Next week is my 12 week appointment with Dr. B (Dr. McComfort), I can't wait to hear the heartbeat!!
The agreement was we had to wait until after the first trimester to do any shopping........I am going to be broke in about 2 weeks, lol. I can't wait......and neither can my Mom :)

10 weeks!

I got this idea from a friend of Megan's. I'm not the greatest at this since I have never done a blog before. But, I am going to give it a try! Hopefully this will help people stay informed with what is going on. I am 10 weeks today and very anxious for the month to be over so that I can officially be in my second trimester. I have an appointment on the 29th to hear the heartbeat, so I will check back in and let you know how it goes! We just found out that Megan is pregnant too which is SO exciting!!! Our babies will only be a month and a half apart!
