We spent the day Saturday at Cosi with Sandy, Cami & Amanda. Mia and I had a great time and are looking forward to going back on a less crowded day. Mia absolutly loved the ball and air exhibit......of course, she loves anything where she can play with a ball!

She finally said it!!!
I just had to note the date....Mia finally says her own name! We have been trying and trying to get her to say Mia and she flat out refused. Well now, she says it all of the time. I know, I know, it doesn't sound like a big deal but its been a long time in the working :) YAY for Mia.
On a crappy note...she still has a cold :( Out bad germs, OUT!

Keeping up.....
I can't believe its February already! I missed an entire month without blogging. I don't want this to fizzle out so I thought I had better at least give a few updates until I can get some new photos taken of Mia (Janet is now working full time for me, so I have to persuade her to come do the photos on the weekend once she is adjusted...lol).
I just can't believe how big and old Mia is. She amazes me on a daily basis. She is now saying Mommy, which I absolutly LOVE! Well, except for when she says it over and over and over again.... :) She is saying Daddy, Papaw, Papi, Cheese, Ball, Car....... making progress! I love hearing her little voice, its so exciting.
We had her 15 month check up a few weeks ago but she was sick with ear infections and the nasty stomach bug that went around so we had to go back last week for her shots. Mia now knows the doctors office and let me just say, she doesn't like it much. As soon as we go into the room, she start freaking out. She wants nothing to do with the nurse or doctor at all. She won't even let them take her temperature without a full blown cry. So, needless to say, the shots were not fun. Although, thinking back, I don't think she even cared about the needle, she just didn't want him touching her! lol. At her initial check up, she weighed 25 lbs and was 33 inches long. Everything going well. I am getting heat about her sleeping with us, but that is work in progress!! Good news and new milestone is....we are bottle free! We bought new sippys that we call her "new bottles" and it worked like a charm.
After having her nasty stomach bug, Mia came out of it eating alot more varieties of food, which is so nice. I even got her to eat peas the other night! Veggies have been and still are the biggest challenge. Calcium is definaly not an issue....the girl is going to turn into a piece of cheese!
Lets see..... what else? She is now loving giving kisses....real ones, she even puckers. She is definatly warming up to Daddy more, which he is loving.
The most recent challenge is the bath tub. All of the sudden a couple of weeks ago, she began throwing fits about getting in the tub. I have no idea why....and the only way I can get her to take a bath is if I get in with her. I'm not liking it much. So, hopefully this little phase will be over very soon.
We've been trying to spend more time with cousin Gabi and Cousin Chloe....and I think they are all going ot be very close. Chloe is getting so big and is so cute. She is so calm and quiet. Very content. Gabi is getting big like MIa and is actually doing very well with vocabulary. She is repeating everything...even Obama. lol. Mia refuses......I think she is republican ;)
Of course, having Gabi so close in age we had to ask the doctor why Mia wasn't repeating as much. He assured us she is doing fine and is retaining information. Mia is around Abels parents alot so she has 2 languages to retain and learn...which she is! She totally understand both which is awesome.
I think thats about it....everyone is doing great. I hope to post more soon along with new photos!
